Help Mobile Meals fill 2,000 Christmas Bags for our Recipients!

Each year at Christmas we collect items to fill 2,000 Christmas bags to be delivered to our recipients.  For some of the people we serve it will be the only gift that they receive for Christmas.  We fill the bags with basic necessities and a few treats.  Wouldn't you like to brighten the Christmas season for one of our homebound neighbors in need?

We need the following items: Tooth Brush, Tooth Paste, Coin Purse, Tissues, Pens, Combs, Brush, 12 oz. Shampoo, Pepermint Candy, Tube Socks, Bar Soap, Baby Powder, Hand Lotion, Deodorant, 
Wash Cloths, Small Writing Pad

If you have items to donate please drop them off at Mobile Meals or call the office for more information at 579-7684.  Christmas bags are due by

Spartanburg Elite Track Club presents Hills 4 Meals Fun Run/Walk

On November 22, 2008 at 10:00 am, the Spartanburg Elite Track Club will hosts its first ever "Hills 4 Meals" Fun Run/Walk to benefit Mobile Meals of Spartanburg at Chapman High School. 

All age groups are invited to participate in either a 1 mile race or a 5k race.  The 1st 100 people to arrive will recieve a free t-shirt.  Medals will be given for the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers in each race.

Entry fee for the 1 mile race is $10 and for the 5k race is $15.  Please contact Dee at 680-2875 for more information or to register for this event.

Spectoators are encouraged to bring 2 canned good items for the canned food drive.
